Scott has been a visionary and recognized leader in venture capital investing for the traditional and advanced energy sectors for 25 years. He is also one of the few with an extensive and proven investment and business operations history. Currently, Scott specifically looks for opportunities that reduce the cost and/or improve the customer experience related to all aspects of energy supply, delivery, and usage. His specific areas of experience, interest, and expertise include software technology companies supporting the following industry sectors: electric distribution; grid reliability and resiliency, distributed energy resources, customer premise, energy management; industry 4.0, and advanced mobility.

Scott has worked with more than 20 early-to-mid stage companies providing both strategic and operational guidance and advice as a board member and investor. He currently sits on the boards of GeoDigital Inc. and SHAED, Inc. (Chairman). Scott managed investments in and formerly sat on the boards of Clean Air Power (L: CAP) - sold; CURRENT Group; Catalytic Solutions (L: CTSU) - sold; Enerwise – purchased by Comverge; Intellon (NASDAQ: ITLN) - purchased by Atheros/QUALCOMM; Comverge (NASDAQ: COMV) - purchased by private equity investor; CoaLogix – purchased by private equity investor; Enbala Power Networks – purchased by Generac; and Tangent Energy Solutions – purchased by Caterpillar.

Prior to EnerTech, Scott spent 16 years in the power industry as an operating executive with Atlantic Energy (now part of Exelon) culminating in his role as one of five senior officers, and as President & COO of the entire set of the company's non-regulated competitive energy enterprises. In this role, he formed a corporate venture capital activity that was subsequently spun out in 1996 to form EnerTech Capital as an independent venture investment manager.

Scott received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Princeton University; he has also attended several graduate level Business, Strategy, and Management courses at Wharton.
