EnerTech Capital adds Electric Vehicle Industry Executive, Matt Horton, to Mobility Advisory Board

September 27, 2022, Toronto, ON and Philadelphia, PA – EnerTech Capital is pleased to announce today, that Matt Horton has joined our Mobility Advisory Board as we continue to enhance and expand our focus on the mobility space. Matt’s extensive background working in the transportation industry, helping to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles, will provide EnerTech with access to valuable insights into the industry as well as customers' needs including sales, marketing, financing, and customer service. Matt joins the board alongside other key mobility experts, including recent appointments, John Tully (Pilot Flying J), Jody Howard (Caterpillar), Deepak Garg (Smart Energy Water), Mark Stoddard (Linamar), and John Matovich (Alectra).


Matt is the CEO of Voltera, a private equity-backed charging infrastructure company that sites, builds, owns, and operates charging facilities for leading EV operators. Matt previously served as the Executive Vice President of Energy and Charging Solutions for Rivian, an auto OEM that designs, develops, and manufactures category-defining electric vehicles and accessories. Prior to joining Rivian in 2020, Matt was the Chief Commercial Officer for Proterra, a California based heavy-duty vehicle OEM that designs and manufactures electric transit buses, charging systems, and heavy-duty electric powertrains. Matt spent his years before Proterra as Chief Executive Officer at Propel Fuels, a pioneer of clean fuel retail as well as CleanDrive, an integrated carbon emission reduction tracking platform. Prior to this, Matt spent nearly a decade as an early-stage venture capital investor focused on cleantech and mobility.


Matt graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and has completed an executive education program in Corporate Governance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
