Gian joined EnerTech in 2013 and is based out of the firm’s Philadelphia office. His primary areas of interest include software, mobility, digitalization, and cybersecurity. Gian actively manages investments in a variety of sectors, working closely with ecosystem partners, entrepreneurs, management teams, co-investors, and others to drive value across the opportunity lifecycle, from sourcing, due diligence and structuring through portfolio management and exit. Currently, he serves as a board observer for GeoDigital and IP Keys Cyber Partners, and he was previously a board observer at Ushr (acquired by Dynamic Map Platform).
Prior to EnerTech, Gian served as a Fulbright Scholar at Masdar, a Mubadala Investment Company initiative partnered with Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. His work at Masdar focused on the roles of technology and innovation in the UAE’s plan to diversify its economy away from dependence on natural resources and transition to a knowledge economy.
Prior to Masdar, Gian was with Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York, NY, where he served as a Product Specialist in the firm’s Alternative Investments Group, responsible for origination, distribution, and management of alternative investments globally and helped build out the firm’s industry-leading alternative investment platform comprised of venture capital, private equity, hedge fund, and real asset investments.
Gian received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in International Business from The University of Scranton.
