Dean brings more than 30 years of expertise investing in and scaling energy and mobility technology companies, with a strong emphasis on electrification, grid optimization, sustainable solutions, and commercial fleet innovation. He joined EnerTech Capital in 2004 and has played a central leadership role in shaping the firm's strategy across energy and electrification investments.

Dean has been deeply engaged across nearly every EnerTech investment since joining in 2004—spanning sourcing, due diligence, board leadership, strategic guidance, and successful exits. In the firm's earlier years, as the primary investment professional, he played a foundational role in building and scaling the portfolio, consistently driving value from entry through realization.

Before EnerTech, Dean spent 15 years at Exelon, one of the largest U.S. electric utilities, holding leadership roles in corporate venture capital (direct and fund investments), strategy and long-range planning for non-regulated businesses, and finance in emerging ventures such as energy management/consulting and on-site energy services.

Dean holds a BS in Finance from La Salle University and an MBA from Temple University's Fox School of Business.
