If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?
Dean has been investing in technology companies focused on energy and energy related areas for over 20 years. Dean joined EnerTech in 2004 and focuses on investments in Industry 4.0, AI/ML, data analytics, software and augmented reality, while also overseeing many of the firm’s investing and operational functions. Currently, Dean is actively managing Blue Pillar (board member), Encycle (observer) and Tangent Energy (observer). In addition, Dean is on the NREL Investor Advisory Board. Previously Dean managed and was either a board member or observer on CoaLogix, EnergySavvy, FuelQuest and OwnEnergy (all acquired).
Prior to joining EnerTech, Dean spent 15 years with Exelon, one of the largest electric utilities in the US. Dean held various positions during his time at Exelon including in the corporate venture capital group making direct and fund investments, strategy and long range planning manager in the non-regulated business unit, and finance roles in several corporate start-up businesses including the energy management and consulting group, and on-site energy services business.
Dean received a BS in Finance from LaSalle University and an MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business.
