January 29, 2025, Toronto, ON, Philadelphia, PA – Bruce Johnson, Executive Vice President Martinrea Innovation Development, has joined EnerTech’s Mobility Advisory Board. Bruce’s extensive experience in the automotive industry will bring EnerTech valuable insights into emerging technologies for mobility applications.

Bruce serves as the Executive Vice President of Martinrea Innovation Development (MiND), where he leads efforts to support innovation within Martinrea by sponsoring, championing, and sharing innovative initiatives across the organization. MiND also looks externally for opportunities to partner with and invest in innovative companies where there will be strategic benefit for both organizations.
Bruce joined Martinrea in 2007 and throughout his career, he held titles including Executive Vice President, Metallics Business Unit and Lightweight Structures Commercial Group and was responsible for implementing improvements in profitability, quality and productivity, standardized operating practices and performance measures, and establishing a robust system for continuous improvement.

Prior to Martinrea, Bruce served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Van-Rob Inc. where he grew the company in various areas including sales, customer base, locations and global presence while winning numerous customer awards. Before this, Bruce worked in several positions at A.G. Simpson Co. Limited, now called AGS Automotive. Bruce’s roles included Assistant Plant Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager, Plant Manager, Director of Operations, Director of Purchasing and Division President.
