Toronto, ON and Philadelphia, PA — March 10, 2026 — EnerTech Capital, a leading venture capital firm focused on transformative technology across mobility, industrial innovation, and energy transition, today announced that Todd Janke, former VP of Innovation and Cost Management at Adient, has joined the firm as an Executive in Residence (EIR).

Todd has been closely connected to EnerTech since 2022, when Adient invested in EnerTech Capital’s Global Strategic Mobility Fund (GSMF) and he joined the firm’s Mobility Advisory Board, contributing strategic insight and industry expertise to support portfolio companies and investment strategy.

“I’m excited to enter this next chapter of my career with EnerTech Capital,” said Todd. “Having worked with the team as an advisory board member, I’ve seen firsthand the strength of EnerTech’s platform and its ability to bring strategic investors and innovative founders together. I look forward to deepening that collaboration and helping to scale the next generation of mobility and industrial technology companies.”

He brings more than 35 years of leadership experience across automotive, mobility, and advanced manufacturing sectors. Beginning in 2019, Todd held a role at Adient, where he led enterprise-wide initiatives focused on value engineering, cost optimization, and product competitiveness. He played a key role in strengthening operational performance and driving cross-functional innovation across the global organization.

Prior to Adient, Todd held senior leadership roles at Flex, including Senior Director of Autonomous Driving Strategy, Senior Director of Product Strategy, and Director of Engineering. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly two decades at TRW Automotive, where he founded and led the global Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) organization, leading a team of over 40 engineers, driving technical innovation and cost efficiencies across the supply chain.

Following his retirement from Adient, Todd is transitioning into this expanded role with EnerTech as he focuses on mentoring leadership teams, supporting commercialization strategies, and helping emerging technology companies scale with operational discipline and strategic clarity.

As an EIR, Todd will work closely with EnerTech’s portfolio companies, potential investments, and broader ecosystem, particularly across electrification, autonomy, connected systems, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

“Todd has been an invaluable advisor to EnerTech since joining our Mobility Advisory Board,” said Wally Hunter, Managing Partner at EnerTech Capital. “His deep operational experience, systems-level thinking, and ability to translate strategy into execution make him uniquely positioned to support our portfolio companies. We’re thrilled to welcome him into this next chapter with EnerTech as we continue to build out our innovation platform.”

Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University South Bend.
