November 28th 2018, Toronto, ON and Philadelphia, PA – EnerTech Capital is pleased to announce today that they have added Darrel Massie to their team.
Darrell Massie is the founder and Chief Technology Officer of Intelligent Power & Energy Research Corporation (IPERC), a producer of intelligent controls for electrical grids. He led the development and patenting of several innovative energy systems control technologies, including the only military-certified cybersecure microgrid control system. As CEO of IPERC from 2004 to 2016, he anticipated the emergence of energy microgrids and steered the development of an R&D concept into an attractive commercial controls product for the growing market. Dr. Massie continues to lead strategic technology development for the company.
Prior to founding IPERC, Dr. Massie served for over 20 years as a commissioned officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers before retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2005. He taught for 15 years as an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Dr. Massie maintains a 15-year consulting relationship with several Army research laboratories, serving as a subject matter expert on energy and controls.
