Automotive & Commercial Vehicle Industry Leader Jon Morrison Joins EnerTech Capital as Executive in Residence

Toronto, ON and Philadelphia, PA – December 4, 2025 - EnerTech Capital, a leading venture capital firm focused on innovation in mobility, industry 4.0, and connected customer, announced today that Jon Morrison, CEO of J&M Strategic Insights LLC, has joined the firm as an Executive in Residence (EIR). Morrison brings more than 40 years of global leadership experience across the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors, along with deep expertise advising high-growth technology companies that are reshaping the future of transportation.

In his role as EIR, Morrison will support EnerTech’s investment team and portfolio companies with strategic insights, market development guidance, and organizational leadership counsel. He will also play an active role in evaluating emerging technologies and partnering with founders who are accelerating innovation across the mobility ecosystem.

Morrison currently leads J&M Strategic Insights LLC, where he advises C-suite executives at advanced technology startups and venture-backed firms. His counsel spans strategic market positioning, partnerships, JV development, and M&A activities. He also serves as an advisor to several technology innovators, including Plus.ai, Phillips Connect, Bytedge.ai, and Cargo Shot.

He also serves as an Independent Director at Aperia Technologies, and previously held board positions with Noregon Systems, the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, the Intelligent Transportation Society of America, and the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute. Morrison holds a bachelor’s degree in general management from Purdue University and an MBA from Bowling Green State University.
