EnerTech Capital Invests in leading Québec based building automation company Distech Controls

March 21st, 2013, Montreal, Quebec – EnerTech Capital is pleased to announce the closing of its investment in leading building automation company Distech Controls. EnerTech participated in a $38 million financing round along with co-investors Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (Caisse), Export Development Canada (EDC), Fonds de solidarité FTQ (FSTQ), Investissements W2 (W2) and a significant strategic partner.
Based in Brossard, Québec, Distech Controls is a leader in energy management solutions. The company provides unique building management technologies and services that optimize energy efficiency and comfort in buildings while reducing operating costs.
The equity investment is subject to be approved by regulatory authorities. The investment will expand Distech Controls’ capital base and the proceeds of this financing will be used to accelerate the company’s growth plan, including acquisitions, and development roadmap worldwide.
